Lululemon opens first run concept store in Montreal
Located in Montreal’s Mile End neighborhood at 268 Rue St Viateur Ouest,
the concept store spans 2,000 square feet and offers a selection of
gear for before, during and post run, as well as community specific
activities.
The concept store joins a slew of other ‘hyper-local’ stores that have
opened across North America, which Lululemon has dubbed “Locals”, that
offer programming and gear specific to their community.
All “Locals” are also designed with specific elements that reflect each city and what makes it unique. The
Mile End “Local” features a 12-foot reclaimed wood harvest table
designed by local wood-worker Union Wood, an in-house film projector,
banks of gym lockers, an interactive bilingual digital community board
and a 360-degree art installation by local street artist turned
typography specialist Marc Sirus.ù
Lululemon concept stores can also be found in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Fort Collins, Colorado; Bend, Oregon and more.
